Born and raised in Brooklyn, Matt has been acting since he received his Master's Degree in 1998 from the Actor's Studio Drama Program at the New School working with such great artists as Arthur Penn, Liza Minnelli, and John Strasberg.

Since then, Matt has been privileged to work with Tony Award nominee Geoffrey Nauffts, Tony Award winner Frank Wood, Jace Alexander, Michael Mastro, Nancy Robillard among others. He has appeared on "Law & Order," "The Family" and a slew of national commercials, including Olive Garden, Michelob and Subway.

In addition to acting, Matt has performed in the New York comedy circuit. He's been seen in such venues as Caroline's Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Nuyorican Poet's Cafe and Don't Tell Mama.

His first directing feature, "For Belly," an On The Leesh Production is in the can and being submitted to festivals around the country.
